Man faces court after high-speed chase
A 23-year-old Ashmore man who was arrested after a two-hour police pursuit yesterday will face court today.
The man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful use of a motor vehicle over the pursuit.
Police notice the stolen Porsche Boxster on Bridgeman Dr at Reedy Creek about 10.45am and started a pursuit, but they lost sight of the car.
The driver of the Boxster later collided with a power pole Golden Valley Dr, Tallebudgera and fled on foot, before stealing a utility in an effort to evade police.
Police apprehended the man on Trees Rd, Tallebudgera.
The man has been held in custody to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
