Man dies after late night crash

A 22-YEAR-OLD Avoca man has died after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle last night.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a crash on Barolin St around 11.30pm Saturday. 

The male motorcyclist was badly injured in the crash, which happened near Greencross Vets. 

Initial investigations indicate the crash occurred on Barolin Street involved a motorcycle and a 4wd vehicle.

The vehicle was turning right into a residence when the motorcycle has collided with it as it attempted to overtake. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorbike.

The 22-year-old Avoca man was transported to hospital with critical injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
