Man in custody after allegedly choking his partner

A 27-YEAR-OLD man accused of choking his partner has been remanded in custody.

The man, who cannot be identified, is facing four counts of breaching a domestic violence order.

In documents tendered to the court, it is alleged the man strangled the aggrieved to the point of losing consciousness and blacking out.

The alleged offences were believed to have happened between November 1-5.

Magistrate Deb Vasta denied the man bail, declaring him a "completely unacceptable risk" of committing further offences.
