Man charged over Gold Coast highrise shooting

AFTER allegedly shooting a man in the stomach at a Gold Coast high-rise on Friday, a 24-year-old man will now front court in Southport.

A 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound, shutting down the Palm Avenue building as police searched for suspects.

The man has "no fixed address", according to police.

He is charged with enter dwelling with intent, demand property with menace and common assault.

Investigations are continuing.
