Man accused in armed robbery spate has case adjourned

A 25-YEAR-OLD Bundaberg man accused of involvement in a string of armed robberies across the region has had his case adjourned until June 12.

Leroy Steven Couchy is charged with six counts of robbery and one of attempted robbery relating to a period in February this year when several business were held up including the Leading Edge Video Store, the Urban Cellars on Elliott Heads Rd and Eagle Boys Pizza at Bargara.

Couchy appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court via video link from prison on Thursday where his lawyer requested the case be adjourned for committal mention.
