Major Coast road closed both directions after horror crash

BREAKING: Paramedics are assessing and treating four people after a crash that has blocked a major Sunshine Coast road in both directions.

David Low Way has been closed to traffic after the two vehicles collided at 11.06am, with five ambulance crews and three fire trucks called to the scene at Mount Coolum.

Of the four people in the crash, three have suffered non-serious injuries, paramedics reported.

One of the patients had to be freed with hydraulic cutting gear, with firefighters working for more than half an hour to cut away the door.

At least two people will be taken to hospital.
