FOLLOWING on from several good news stories from around the region, the NewsMail took to its Facebook page to ask what readers thought was the very best thing about the region.
Beauty, beaches, lifestyle and weather all ranked high.
Daneka Wooldridge said negativity was the only thing that could hold Bundy back.

"The only not so beautiful thing about Bundy is the huge group of close minded ungrateful people that live there."
Rose Snow said convenience was something that made the region a real winner.
"The perfect weather and so close to everything like shops and beaches, most of all you don't have to pay for parking," she said.
Christine and John Anear said compared to Brisbane, driving was a pleasure.
"Every time I drive through Brisbane traffic, it makes me love Bundy more," they said.
"Or watch the bumper to bumper cars with families trying to make their way to the beach at the Sunshine Coast.
"We are so lucky to have such beautiful beaches on our doorstep, which we can so easily access.
"Great lifestyle for families with everything we need in our thriving city, without the hustle and bustle of the big smoke. But close enough to that big smoke if we absolutely have to go there. Love you Bundy."
Brett Hetherington said he couldn't put his finger on any one thing that made him love the region - there were too many reasons.
"Bundaberg itself," he said.
"Just a beaut spot for so many reasons."
Patricia Brown echoed his thoughts.
"Bundaberg has so much to offer," she said.
"It's a short drive to the beach. There's beautiful country areas to drive and sight see, have picnics.
"We have great sporting facilities and plenty of sport to play.
"In the end life is what you make it - you can chose to be happy or sad."
Andy Mark said the reason Bundy rocked was an easy one.
"Simple, it's the lifestyle capital of the world," he said.
Darren Gollshewsky said he thought even turtles knew a good place when they saw one.
"All the beaches we have," he said.
"Even the turtles like them."
