Looking for your slice of life

CAPTURE a slice of life – that’s the advice of photographer Paul Beutel, who will help select the shortlist of pictures for the NewsMail’s calendar competition.

Mr Beutel said to be included for the end-of-year calendar celebrating the Bundaberg region, people did not have to be professional photographers submitting technically perfect photos.

“I’d encourage readers to get out and record their special little parts of the world,” he said.

“It’s not just about the big tourist hotspots, but also some slices of life – things that give you the feeling this is home, or the quirky side of life.”

To get involved, all you need to do is send your favourite horizontal-shaped photos, of at least one megabyte in size, to .

Once the shortlist has been selected, readers will be able to vote for their favourite pictures online.
