Local Directory workshops in the North Burnett
NORTH Burnett Regional Council in partnership with Savvy Paper and Pixels is developing a new and exciting website to provide tourists with updates, local information about sightseeing, event details, restaurants, travel, local services, business and accommodation.
This website is important as it will be used for the information on the newly installed Touch Screens installed at the Gayndah Museum Information Centre, Mundubbera Information Centre, Monto Information Centre and Mt Perry Memorial Park, and soon to be installed in Biggenden.
Further details on this new website will be release as it is developed.
This new website will allow businesses and community groups access to edit their details and provide as much or as little information as they choose. A security feature has been incorporated into the site allowing the council to pre-approve any content prior to uploading.
The council is currently conducting Local Directory Workshops for local businesses and community groups, demonstrating how to edit and update their own information on this site.
Those attending the workshops are encouraged to bring along a laptop or tablet as well as relevant and updated information about their business. There will be some tablets available for sharing, however, numbers are limited. Information Consent Forms are available on request outlining the information required for uploading.
Sessions will be held at 6:30pm in the Community Hall at the following venues:
Gayndah October 7
Mundubbera October 12
Eidsvold October 20
Mt Perry October 21
Monto October 22
A light supper will be provided during the workshops. To assist with catering, please RSVP with any dietary requirements the day prior to the workshop you will be attending.
