Large fire burning near Bungadoo

THREE Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a large vegetation fire burning near Snake Creek Road, Bungadoo.

The fire broke out around midday and is not threatening property at this time.

Firefighters are monitoring the fire and working to establish containment lines around the blaze.

A large smoke haze may affect surrounding areas, including Bundaberg-Gin Gin Road.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution and to conditions. Residents are asked to close their windows and doors and, if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.
