Kids to display talents

THE bright young things at Kepnock High School will strut their stuff next Wednesday at an arts night dedicated to showing off the skills of students.

Kepnock dance and drama teacher Taryn Hartley said 120 talented school kids would dazzle the crowd.

"We're showcasing their talents and we have dancers, singers, musicians, artists, media and drama students," Ms Hartley said.

"There are about 30 different acts."

Ms Hartley said the event was one of the school's biggest nights of the year and students started preparation on the first day of the school year.

"They're all so talented and have been working so hard all year," she said.

"There is a such an emphasis on kids doing well in English or maths, but this is a really good way for them to express who they are."

The event runs for about two hours, starting at 6pm in the Kepnock High hall.

Tickets cost $5 for regular seating or $10 for gold-class seats with appetisers included.

Tickets can be purchased at the door on the night or by calling  the school on 4131 1888.
