Jury considers fate of man accused of raping stepdaughter
THE jury was late yesterday still deciding the fate of a former Hervey Bay man who was on trial for allegedly having a sexual relationship with his stepdaughter.
The 42-year-old man was on trial for allegedly maintaining a relationship with his stepdaughter while living in NSW and Caboolture and for raping and attempting to rape her.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the girl, allegedly molested the girl from when she was about nine years old in 2009 to 2012.
The jury was still deciding his fate yesterday and is expected to return this morning to continue deliberating.
