Jobs now advertised with Adani Australia

FOUR jobs have been advertised with Adani Australia jobs- one being a senior project engineer for solar renewables.

According to an Adani spokesman this would be to work on one of two solar projects it had in the pipeline, one in South Australia and one in Central Queensland.

The Central Queensland one could be up to 150MW in scale.

However further details won't be available until next month.

Two of the other jobs are set to be based at Adani's 'regional headquarters', which Mackay has pitched to secure.

When asked where prospective applicants should consider re-locating, the spokesman believed Mackay or Townsville would be good bets.

All up, Adani is looking for a general manager health and safety based at its regional headquarters, a stakeholder communications manager also based at its regional headquarters, a human resources manager based at Bowen and a senior project engineer based at Brisbane.

For more information on the jobs, see page 29 of Saturday's paper, or email the aptly named Alistair Carmichael at jobs@amal.net.au

Resource Industry Networks Mick Crowe said the news was positive, but called for state government to legislate against long-running court appeals against the projects approvals.

"Critical infrastructure status helps but it doesn't stop the appeals," Mr Crowe said.

"They need legislating against."
