Insta-famous dachshund to launch coffee table book

Sausage dog entrepreneur King Kingsley is about to add author to his extended resume.

The Instagram famous dachshund will soon launch a coffee-table book and is looking for some four-legged talent to feature in its pages.

And with 5% of sale profits to be donated to animal welfare group RSPCA, owner Emma Hill, 24, knows she's sniffed out a winner.

The Hope Island dog lover said the book would feature 100 dachshunds from around the world and she was still looking for long-bodied pups to fill the pages.

"I'm looking for roughly 50 dachshunds to feature," she said.

"Most of the dachshunds are off Instagram, so I would love to reach out to owners who aren't on social media to send their photos in."

Ms Hill said she came up with the idea after having lunch with a group of friends.

"I decided on the RSPCA ... because they help animals in need and help rehome them, giving them the life they deserve," she said.

"I wanted to stick with dachshunds who don't have the fame that King Kingsley does and give them the opportunity to feel special."

Ms Hill said she had been working on the idea for over a month.
