Right now Bundy needs all the help it can get

WOULDN'T it be good to have a crystal ball to look into the future, and see what 2014 holds for the Bundaberg region?

Today we report on a document put together by the Moore Park Beach Community Association which details its concerns about drainage and fears about being flooded.

There are many, many more people right across the region who are fearful of floods.

So we are looking for copious amounts of action on flood mitigation in 2014, and here's what I see as a comforting glimpse into our future.

No one can say Community Recovery Minister David Crisafulli hasn't lived up to his word that he would keep returning here until the job of preparing the region against a future flood event was done.

I understand he is due to come back within weeks and also that we are to get a number of other state decision-makers on our doorstep, including Health Minister Lawrence Springborg, Tourism and Small Business Minister Jann Stuckey and Minister for Communities Tracy Davis.

I welcome their arrival, and their interest in our region.

Right now, we need all the help we can get.
