Increased efficiency across council, a focus for Habermann
What is your biggest achievement in the past four years?
Driving the completion of roads, drainage and infrastructure reconstruction and betterment ASAP after the disastrous events of 2013; strongly advocating for the levee bank construction at Tech Park and raising of Mt Perry and Fairymead Rds; facilitating $3 million roads, drainage and widening works in Hanbury St.
What is the biggest disappointment in this time?
Not being able to achieve some things which I'm very passionate about for different reasons; lack of state/federal funding for vital flood mitigation proposals.
Why should people vote you back in?
I received an Order of Australia Medal for Service to Sport and the Community, I'm a tried and true experienced councillor and hard working passionate local who has lived here all my life and lives in Division 4. I will continue to support district sporting associations in their endeavours to provide a full spectrum of sporting activities and top class facilities. I am a full-time councillor, and I continue to be a champion for the community.
What is your main priority for the next four years in the Bundaberg region?
To be an even better councillor; continue to do everything possible to foster Bundaberg businesses; and continue to pursue increased efficiency in all sections of council and always seek better economic and financial management. We must all work together to ensure more flood mitigation projects.
