Call to honour Hughes with new Hwy bridge at Macksville
THE new Pacific Hwy bridge spanning the Nambucca River at Macksville could be named in honour of the late Phillip Hughes.
Nambucca Shire Council has put the suggestion to the Geographical Names Board after receiving permission from Phillip's parents Virginia and Greg.
Mayor Rhonda Hoban said the bridge was located near the Hughes' family property.
