Woman, 25, charged after armed robberies in Parkwood

UPDATE: A woman has been charged following investigations into two armed robberies at Parkwood last night.

It will be alleged around 8.15pm a woman claiming to be in possession of a firearm robbed an Olsen Avenue service station.

It will further be alleged a woman claiming to be in possession of a firearm also robbed a service station in Parkwood Boulevard a short time later.

A 25-year-old Parkwood woman has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and is expected to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
 

EARLIER: GOLD Coast detectives investigating two armed robberies at Parkwood last night have released images of a woman who may be able to assist with their investigations.

Around 8.15pm a woman entered an Olsen Avenue service station and informed the male console operator that she was in possession of a firearm. The woman fled the store moments later with a sum of cash.

She then travelled in a Holden Commodore sedan with Queensland registration 445 VTB to a nearby service station in Parkwood Boulevard, where she again stole money after telling the console operator she was in possession of a firearm.

The woman is described as Caucasian and aged in her 20s.

No one was physically injured during the robberies and police investigations are continuing.
