Image released of Matilda Service Station robbery suspect
BUNDABERG detectives have released an image of the man they suspect robbed the Matilda Service Station, near Sugarland, on Saturday.
It is the third comfit to be released by officers who are desperately trying to catch the men responsible for the series of seven robberies carried out in the past three weeks.
Detectives have been executing daily search warrants as part of their investigations into the robberies, so far resulting in numerous arrests in relation to drug possession and stolen property.
Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Joe Hildred said five search warrants were carried out in the region on Wednesday, resulting in seven adult alleged offenders being charged in relation to drug and property offences.
Det Snr Sgt Hildred urged all shop and business owners to assess their security at their stores in regards to staff working alone in the evenings and not keeping excess quantities of cash at their premises.
"Police are calling on members of the public to view CCTV images of a number of persons of interest on the Queensland Police Service Facebook site and the Bundaberg Police blog," he said.
