IGA opens up today

THE new Moore Park IGA will throw open its doors to customers for the first time today with the official grand opening of the store.

Owners Jean and David Harris said the 1100sq m grocery shop would open at 7am and would service the community seven days a week.

"It's the talk around the town," Mrs Harris said.

"Everyone you talk to can't wait to see it open."

Opening celebrations will take place from 10am-2pm, with face painting for the kids and giveaways throughout the day.

Mrs Harris said the new store had been in the pipeline for a long time and it was a relief the day had finally arrived.

"It's been planned for quite a while," she said.

"We've been involved since July last year, but the plans have been in the works for a lot longer."
