Hyundai and Land Rovers are being recalled by car makers

HYUNDAI is recalling a batch of Tuscons compact SUVs because the bonnet may lift suddenly while driving and block the driver's vision.

The company will contact owners of the affected models.

The Hundai Tuscon recall will see the hood safety hook catch replaced and the cluster upgraded on TL and TLe models.

Those affected are in the VIN range:

TL: KMHJ*81***U000324 - KMHJ*81***U208048

TLe: TMAJ3****GJ000050 - TMAJ3****GJ168155

Meanwhile, Jaguar Land Rover has recalled more than 2000 vehicles.

That includes the Discovery 3.0L TDV6, Range Rover Sport 3.0L TDV6 and Range Rover 3.0L TDV6 and 4..4L TDV8 2012 to 2014 model year vehicles.

They are being recalled as the engine may not start, or may cut out without warning. If the engine cuts out, the vehicle will lose brake power assistance and Power Assisted Steering will also be lost, with the vehicle requiring increased steering effort. If the vehicle is fitted with air suspension system, the system may reduce the vehicle to its lowest ride height position.

Owners will be notified, and dealers will replace the crank position sensor.

Selected vehicles within VIN ranges:

Discovery SALLAAAG5CA626785 to SALLAAAM6DA653082 (976 vehicles)

Range Rover Sport SALLSAAG6CA752903 to SALLSAAF4DA787400 (1081 vehicles)

Range Rover SALGA2KE6EA000013 to SALGA2HF4DA124233 (62 vehicles)
