Hospital gets training approval

ACCREDITATION to provide high-level training for doctors has been awarded to the Bundaberg Hospital for the first time.

The 12-month Australasian College for Emergency Medicine accreditation means the department can support up to eight trainees.

Sunshine Coast-Wide Bay Health Service District northern cluster executive director of medical services Tim Smart said the accreditation meant Bundaberg was performing at a top level.

“It demonstrates the emergency department’s commitment to not only provide an efficient and effective service to patients, but ensure high-quality training is available.”
