COUNTRY Wests frustrating start to the 2009 Bundaberg Cricket Association season continued yesterday with another loss to in-form Across the Waves.

Mat Fleming’s men slumped to yet another loss in the two-day series with Waves securing a first-innings win.

“It’s pretty disappointing at the moment,” Fleming said.

“We haven’t been able to get it done again.”

Wests opened the batting on Saturday and only managed a paltry 217 runs against Waves bowling attack.

Across the Waves went to stumps on the first day 1-70 and continued its momentum yesterday, finishing with 306.

Wests held on yesterday afternoon to prevent an another outright victory.
