Horrific crash claims young mum and her unborn baby

FLINDERS View mum-of-two Tammy Boorer died on Friday night at the Nambour General Hospital.
Friends and family, who had been praying for her survival, were devastated.
Ms Boorer was injured in a traffic crash on the Bruce Hwy at the Sunshine Coast on January 23.
The 28-year-old was in a vehicle travelling northbound with her husband and two children.
Her husband Nathan was in a stable condition at the Royal Brisbane Hospital after he was airlifted there for emergency surgery.
The couple's two children, a nine-year-old boy and five-year-old girl, survived the crash with minor injuries.
Mrs Boorer was believed to be 30 weeks pregnant.
The family had been on their way to Hervey Bay for a camping holiday when they were struck by a car travelling in the wrong direction on the dual carriageway near the Nambour-Bli Bli exit.
The children managed to escape the wreckage before the car was hit for a second time by a truck.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash that has now claimed two lives.
Central Ipswich Church has set up a bank account to help the Boorer family.
