
MP Butcher part owner in Townsville Cup winning horse
GLADSTONE owned horse Honey Toast had the biggest win of its racing career yesterday, taking out the $60,000 Townsville Cup.
The horse owned by the Gladstone Racing Syndicate and managed by Gladstone Member of Parliament Glenn Butcher was bought by the syndicate for $2000.
The horse is trained by Ben Currie in Toowoomba and was ridden on the day by Paul Hammersly.
