Homer Simpson thanks Australia during Opera House visit

HOMER Simpson has arrived down under and he's wasted no time checking out the sights of Sydney Harbour.

In a clip promoting the upcoming Graphic Festival at the Sydney Opera House, where Simpsons creator Matt Groening is a guest speaker, the iconic animated character thanks Australia for a variety of 'Aussie' things.

"What a treat it is to visit a land where they almost speak English," Homer says in the clip.

"On behalf of the United States of America thank you for Wolverine and Harley Quinn."

The video has already been viewed more than 5000 times since it was uploaded to Facebook half an hour ago.

Homer is also attacked by a flock of hungry seagulls as he attempts to feed a sea lion a fish on the Opera House's iconic steps.
