Holiday bookings strong on Coffs Coast

HOLIDAY rentals, caravan and tourist park bookings and resort reservations continue to indicate the Coffs Coast is a favoured summer holiday destination.

Information from travel website Lastminute.com.au indicates that Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie and Byron Bay feature alongside Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and the Gold Coast as the most popular holiday spots.

Local tourism anaylsis say this indicates that domestic tourism could be strong this summer.

Despite the lure of cheap airfares and a strong Australian dollar, more travellers it appears are returning to an Aussie holiday by the sea.

Whether the Mid North Coast experiences a holiday boom will be confirmed by visitor surveys and booking figures between now and January.
