Historic day on Fraser Island

THE journals of Matthew Flinders, Robert Brown and Peter Good will be read at the next history talk at the Hervey Bay Library.

Fraser Coast councillor George Seymour will speak at the Hervey Bay Library using the explorers' journals to talk about the day they spent on Fraser Island and the first recorded interaction between the island's indigenous Australians and European explorers.

The talk will be held from 10 to 11am on July 29.

Bookings are required at the Hervey Bay Library by phoning 41974220 or emailing library@frasercoast.qld.gov.au.
