Hinkler MP says he has good relationship with Turnbull

HINKLER MP Keith Pitt says he has a good working relationship with new Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and expects that to continue.

"I have had a good working relationship with Malcolm Turnbull over the past two years as a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Communications," he said.

"However, the people of Hinkler are my number one priority.

Mr Pitt sits with the National Party in Canberra and as such, does not get a vote on the leadership of the Liberal Party.

"As a member of the Nationals Party Room, today I am focussed on ensuring regional Australia is well represented in a Coalition Government," he said.
