High praise from Socceroo legend

FOOTBALL: Australian goalkeeping legend Mark Bosnich has touted Melbourne Victory goalkeeper and Bundaberg boy Mitch Langerak as a future Socceroo.

Speaking on Fox Sports FC, Bosnich talked up Langerak’s breakthrough season.

But the praise was not enough to get his side across the line in Beijing on Tuesday night, losing 1-0 in their first Asian Champions League fixture.

Langerak returns to play the second A-League semi-final against Sydney FC, a team that also brags a Bundaberg keeper.

Former Bundaberg Brothers Aston Villa custodian Clint Bolton is Sydney’s first choice between the sticks. He has been recalled to the Socceroos squad for the international against Indonesia next Wednesday.
