Rosedale slowly getting back on its feet

AFTER days without electricity, supplies and access, regional areas including Rosedale, Lowmead and Baffle Creek are slowly getting back on their feet.

Gladstone Mayor Gail Sellers said these areas were receiving all available support and services in order to help residents recover from the aftermath of ex-cyclone Oswald.

"Ergon Energy returned power through a temporary arrangement to parts of the Rosedale township. However, outlying properties are still experiencing loss of power which is supplied via the Bundaberg region, with these outages likely to continue for up to 72 hours," she said.

The Rosedale community had been resupplied and its shop was now stocking groceries.

Cr Sellers said 250kg of essential supplies was supplied for Baffle Creek area.
