Headless dugong washes up on Woodgate Beach

A HEADLESS dugong has washed up on Woodgate Beach.

Mel Broughton said they found the dugong on Monday morning.

"We found it at low tide at the southern end of Woodgate Beach near Burrum National Park.

"[It was] dead but still bleeding. [It] had many shark bites," Ms Broughton said.
