Women on top in relationships

Venus is Fallon Hudson

Why is it that when it comes to the start of a relationship there is always one person who wants to jump ship?

And most of the time it isn't the captain.

You see, most women tend to be the captain of the relationship, the one steering it in the direction they believe it should travel along.

I believe men do not want relationships.  This is why women see men as freaks.

And when it comes to the relationship women think they are having with a guy, they just met, the women are the freaks because they thought they were in a relationship, when they were apparently just 'hanging out'.

I guess there is always that lingering thought of too many fish in the sea.

Men are always out to see how many fish they can catch.

Thanks for wasting my time buddy - I hope you find what you are looking for in that murky water.

Why is it that men get out of a reltionship unscathed - sometimes before it officially starts - while women are left there to ponder what went on.

Women overthink everything in ourselves, especially when it comes to men.

Men, on the other hand, don't think - they move on without a flicker of guilt ready for the next catch of the day.

All I can say is women must make sure their scales have healed before they are tricked by an attractive lure or stay clear of all freaks who own a boat.

Talking about our “feelings'' early on in a relationship is hard for us men. Really hard.

That mushy, non-blokey sensation of potential love or serious liking doesn't seem natural. I mean, we know when we love other things – like our mums, our pets, the football or when you see the obnoxious neighbourhood kid step barefoot into a patch of bindii.

But when it comes to members of the opposite sex, our man computers just can't process that data.

It can be especially hard when you are not sure if the feelings you might have are reciprocated.

A case in point is a university friend who thought he was in with a 10/10 stunner in one of his classes. She was a blonde Scandinavian who looked like a centrefold model.

After flirting with her for some time, thinking nothing would ever come of it, she asked my mate if she could come over and study with him. Come date night, he decided to be upfront about his feelings. It turns out the Nordic beauty really did just want to study, and the subsequent rejection has made my friend wary of girlfriends ever since.

But in all honesty, we all know that it's usually us guys who mess women around with their feelings.

One day we'll get better at handling our relationships with women – probably on the day after world peace and religious harmony are achieved.
