Having a drink to local winner

DOUG Jensen has watched the growth of the family-owned Bundaberg Brewed Drinks company since its beginnings almost 50 years ago, so it was fitting that he took out the major prize in the News- Mail’s Ol’ Cliffy 80th Birthday competition.

“The company stood the test of time,” Mr Jensen said.

He had lived in the region most of his life before retiring in Bundaberg, where he can now spend his $100 voucher at the famous Bundaberg Barrel.

Mr Jensen prefers the ginger beer, but also likes other flavours

With more than 500 entries from Bundaberg Brewed Drinks fans, the contest had plenty of fizz.
