Hinkler awarded for marketing

IT was Hinker Central Shopping Centre’s happiest hour this week when it was recognised with an award for its marketing campaign.

The Property Council of Australia 2010 Retail Awards had the shopping centre competing along side the retail industry’s best from across the state.

Hinkler Central was awarded a high commendation in the category excellence in marketing for sub-regional centres, and was one of seven finalists.

The Happy Hour campaign was developed initially to promote the fresh food retail offer at Hinkler Central.

Hinkler Central marketing manager Elysia Billingham said the award is a credit to the commitment and support of the retailer community at Hinkler Central.

Ms Billingham said Happy Hour’s success was the result of participating retailers across the centre, who provided sensational specials for customers every Thursday between 3pm and 6pm.
