Happiest place on earth for a holiday
JODY Griffiths is living a childhood dream; travelling around the world rubbing shoulders with the likes of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Bugs Bunny.
The 43 year old has a bucket list to journey to all the major Disneyland's and has so far completed three out of four visits- Las Angeles, Paris and Tokyo.
"My whole fascination with Disneyland started about five years ago when I went to the one in LA. After that I thought, right, this is on my bucket list to do all the Disneyland's in the world," she said.
"They are magical places and as soon as you step into those gates you become a little kid again and have so much fun."
"The atmosphere is fantastic, the people, the rides and everything else. It is just a magical kingdom."
Disneyland in Hong Kong is the last trip to complete on Ms Griffith's bucket list.
"I will hopefully make it there in the next few years," she said.
"So far, the best one has been in LA. It is the original and much bigger than the others. It is also easy to navigate as there is no language barriers."
From the crazy rides, wacky characters, shops, 3D movies and more, Ms Griffiths said you could be any age to enjoy what the magical land has to offer.
"It takes you back to the feelings you have as a child," she said.
"It just so nice to see the fun everyone has. It is a happy place. You don't see sad people there."
"Spend an entire day and get lost in it all."
And with Mickey Mouse ears and Donald Duck hat collection quickly stacking up in her home, Ms Griffiths said after her Hong Kong trip, she will continue her other goal of travelling to as many countries as possible.
"I have been to 12 countries so far with many more to go," she said.
"I have always had a passion to travel everywhere and I have had to save really hard and sacrifice a lot of things so I can do it but I love every minute of it."
