Half of Sunshine Coast train stations still out of action
SUNSHINE Coast train commuters will still likely have to use rail replacement buses today, as almost half of the stations on the Coast line remain out of action.
The intense storm that smashed parts of the Coast on Saturday night caused significant storm damage to rail infrastructure, felling trees onto the tracks and damaging overhead lines.
Yesterday commuters at all Sunshine Coast train stations were forced to use rail replacement buses.
The line has since been cleared and repaired north of the Mooloolah station, with trains running today.
But services are still cut to the Caboolture, Elimbah, Beerburrum, Glasshouse Mountains, Beerwah and Landsborough stations.
The Landsborough and Beerwah area was worst hit by the storm.
Rail replacement bus stops are outside the train station entrance, unless stated otherwise:
- Caboolture (bus interchange on Matthew Tce)
- Glasshouse Mountains
