GWS coach dares Eagles to niggle Toby Greene

GREATER Western Sydney coach Leon Cameron has welcomed West Coast's plan to niggle Toby Greene.

Cameron says his star forward, who has been charged by the MRP five times this season, thrives on the challenge.

Eagles coach Adam Simpson said his side would try to get under his skin at Spotless Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

"I don't think that worries him at all, in fact it probably works the opposite," Cameron said.

"He's one of those players who thrives on attention, thrives on the big stage, and tomorrow's a big stage.

"If the Eagles do choose to intimidate him verbally or physically, Toby will absorb that really, really well and play to the best of his ability."

Greene, who booted two final-quarter goals to seal the Giants' win over the Eagles earlier this season, came under the microscope again this week after his foot collected Bulldog Luke Dahlhaus in a marking contest.

He subsequently received a $1500 fine, but drew plenty of criticism for the action.

"It doesn't annoy me. Everyone's entitled to their opinion," Cameron said.

"It was an unusual incident ... we thought the right decision was made.

"Are there some inconsistencies with the MRP?

"I know that has been said over the last three or four days. No doubt at the end of the year the AFL need to sit down and have a good look at it."
