Grocery grab to fight childhood leukaemia
THE Lions Cord Blood Foundation is an organisation dedicated to finding a cure for childhood leukemia.
Childers Lions Club has decided to run a fun raffle, the winning prize being a three-minute grocery grab at the IGA supermarket in Childers.
IGA store manager and owner Bruce Mahoney said it was an honour to be asked to support the raffle, as the money raised would be put to a great cause.
"It's about finding a cure for childhood leukemia," Mr Mahoney said.
Lions Club president Lachie McConnell said 50% of the money raised from the raffle would go directly to the foundation and the other half would stay with the Childers Lions Club.
"I encourage Childers to buy a raffle ticket, one lucky winner will have the chance to grab groceries," he said.
Tickets will be on sale out the front of IGA for the great three-minute grocery grab.
