Grieving mum pays tribute to ‘two beautiful people’
DIANA Hutchings has spoken out following the discovery of two bodies at Pottsville, thought to be her son Greg Hutchings and her granddaughter, Eeva Dorendahl-Hutchings.
"We are shocked, we need to process it and to show respect for two beautiful people," Ms Hutchings told Daily Telegraph reporter Jane Hansen.
"We were trying to help find them, but now we just need the police to investigate.
"She was a beautiful girl and he was a beautiful man as well," she was quoted as saying.
The father and daughter, who had been missing for 17 days, were found in bushland at the dunes along Pottsville Beach about 10am on Tuesday by an SES search volunteer.
On Tuesday Tweed Byron LAC Detective Superintendent Stuart Wilkins said a murder investigation would be launched and a murder-suicide had not been ruled out.
An outpouring of emotion was evident in the Tweed community after the discovery of the bodies, with Facebook pages based across the region filled with posters shocked to hear the tragic news.
