Governor to visit Bundaberg

QUEENSLAND Governor Penelope Wensley will travel to Bundaberg on Monday to experience the aftermath of the Christmas flooding first-hand.

A spokeswoman for Ms Wensley said the Governor would be receiving a briefing on the impact of the floods.

“Not just about the area, but the needs of the people and economic and infrastructure needs, and also any particular areas of concern,” she said.

“She is also excited to meet volunteers who have been on hand during the flood event.”

Ms Wensley will be travelling to Bundaberg with her husband, Stuart McCosker.
