Google contest success for Sam

SAMUEL Nelson's drawing talent has taken him further into the Doodle for Google competition.

The Year 6 St Joseph's Catholic Primary School student entered his doodle of Albert Einstein and is one of four finalists, out of a total of 26,000 entrants, who will be attending the winners announcement at a ceremony in Sydney at the end of the month.

Principal Kaye Beston said she was proud of Mr Nelson's achievement and hard work.

"He did all the work by himself including the background story that he had to enter with the drawing. It was all very detailed and impressive," she said.

"The school would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for Sam and to the NewsMail for getting behind his great work."

Mr Nelson will enjoy an all expenses paid trip to attend the Doodle for Google winners announcement on October 22 with his mum.
