Goodna assault victim out of intensive care
THE Ipswich father who was seriously injured in an alleged assault at Goodna recently has been moved out of the intensive care unit at the PA Hospital.
Lindsay Ede spent his 55th birthday in hospital on Monday, but in some positive news for family members, he is now in a ward and is breathing for himself.
Unfortunately, Mr Ede still hasn't woken up from the June 22 attack that left him in a critical condition with a massive head injury.
Mr Ede's brother, Terry Bishop, says family members are waiting for a more detailed condition report from doctors.
Meanwhile, the teenager accused of attacking Mr Ede, Ariik Mayot, has been remanded in custody until his case is heard again on July 22.
The 19-year-old Redbank Plains man is charged with grievous bodily harm over the incident.
