Gold, drugs, guns all uncovered in Hell Angels raid

A MAJOR Gold Coast drug raid by Queensland Police has uncovered a haul of weapons, ammunition, drugs, cash and even gold allegedly belonging to the Hell's Angels bikie club.

Police found steroids, methylamphetamines, weapon parts, more than 300 rounds of ammunition, fake licences, gold worth $10,400, about $2000 worth of Euros and $183,000 in cash at a Robina home on Pehaligon Way and storage sheds on Racecourse Drive and Slayter Avenue in Bundall, police fo

A 33-year-old Robina man, a patched member of the Hells Angels OMCG, was arrested and will now face 18 charges relating to drugs, weapons, ammunition and fraud.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.

Acting Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith from Task Force Maxima said, "Todays efforts once again sees illegal drugs and weapons seized from these criminal gangs.

"The location of false identities and significant sums of money provides evidence of the extent and organised nature of the crime committed by these gangs."

"Taskforce Maxima and the QPS will be unrelenting in our efforts against those involved in criminal activity.

"We will continue to use all resources available to us in an effort to stop crime and these gangs need to understand this. While they are involved in crime will continue to target them".

Investigations are continuing.
