Keys handed over to Men's Shed

BUNDABERG men now have a shed to call their own after they were given keys to a State Government shed.

Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jeff Seeney gave the keys to Bundaberg Central Men's Shed president Alan Evans yesterday.

"Up until now, the group have had to share a premises at the Tom Quinn Community Centre," Mr Seeney said.

"I commend local member Jack Dempsey for advocating hard on behalf of the group to make this new shed a reality."

Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services and Member for Bundaberg Jack Dempsey said the new Men's Shed would provide a great social benefit to the town.

"The Bundaberg Central Men's Shed is a great group and this shed will provide room for more members to come and receive the benefits of doing wood and metal work projects," he said.
