Childers artist captures Isis landscape in her work

CHILDERS residents are in for a treat with local glass artist Judith Bohm-Parr's tireless Botanical exhibition, transforming the Childers Art Space (CHARTS) into a wildlife wonderland.

Working from her home studio in Isis, Bohm-Parrs has created an exhibition of earthly proportions.

She spent several months capturing the extensive landscape, flora and fauna of the beautiful region she's constantly inspired by.

"I never tire of portraying the endless repertoire Mother Nature provides," she said.

The Isis landscape is unmistakable as her exhibition contains glass work of lorikeets, palm trees, the colours of the changing seasons, plants of all varieties and even a fence.

Held at CHARTS, Botanicals will be open to visitors until November 22.

The opening during the Crush Festival is on tonight at 5.30pm.
