Getting healthy step by step

BUNDABERG residents will take strides towards better health this Sunday, for the Heart Foundation's annual Walking Day.

The event aims to raise awareness of the benefits of including 30 minutes of walking in daily life and the advantages of joining a Heart Foundation walking group.

Councillor Lynne Forgan will be a participant in this weekend's fun.

“What a great way to start the day - 30 minutes of exercise walking with friends to increase your fitness levels for a healthier you,” Cr Forgan said.

Everyone is invited to meet at YMCA Bundaberg, in Quinn Street, at 6am this Sunday to join in the fun.

To find out more about the Bundaberg Heart Foundation walking groups, telephone Rayne Juster on 0427 328 211 or visit heartfoundation.org.au/sites/walking.
