Get pop idol to bundy for fundraising

JOE Botros is on a one-man mission to get Australian Idol Guy Sebastian to Bundaberg in a fundraising effort for Phoenix House.

The organisation is aiming to raise a million dollars to build a multi-purpose centre where its councillors can carry out therapy for victims of domestic and sexual abuse in one easy-to-access centre.

“I think if everybody has just a little bit of compassion it's a starting point to being human,” Mr Botros said.

The Phoenix House project manager said he decided to become involved in the fund-raising drive after some of the children who access the service and councillors began to use his horses in its equine therapy program.

After months of searching for the pop sensation's contact details Mr Botros has still been unable to contact Mr Sebastian about the request - but he will not give up his quest.
