The right foods for you

FAT-FREE, sugar-free, low carb and added vitamins and nutrients.

When it comes to buying the right food, the choices are so confusing and many of us are getting it wrong.

Yet, the choices can be made so simple.

A new health survey shows a whopping 95% of us don't eat enough vegetables.

A common complaint is that healthy food is more expensive, but considering we live in a massive food bowl, we generally have access to plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and I've always found the prices to be reasonable.

So why do people struggle to eat enough fruit and vegetables?

I know it can be a struggle to get vegetables into kids, but as long as you keep offering it to them, eventually they come around.

Well, most of the time.

I remember as a child having an absolute hatred of mushrooms, but when I got a bit older all of a sudden they weren't disgusting anymore and I love them now.

Establishing healthy eating habits from the start is important, but if you need help to get back on track it's available.
