Gayndah's pool is the place to be

THE Gayndah Pool will be the place to be this Australia Day as Gayndah Swimming Club hosts the second annual Mitchell Roth Mercantile Relay.

Pool lessee Toni Roebuck said a new racing format meant all teams would compete at least twice.

There will be cash prizes up for grabs for first, second and third prize winners and for the best fancy dress outfit.

Anything will go in the relay – competitors can swim, float, be hauled, even use a canoe or raft to complete four laps of Gayndah Pool.

Registration is $20 per team and closes on Saturday, January 23.

Forms are available at the pool or email toni.roebuck@bigpond.com.
